Want to delete your account?
You can delete your account in the app via the Profile tab — your account and data will be permanently removed within 30 days. To remove all data immediately, send us a deletion request by email.

1. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with equivalent data protection legislation, you have the following rights over your personal data held by Mission Carbon.
Right of Access (Art. 15)
Request a copy of the personal data Mission Carbon holds about you.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16)
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to Erasure (Art. 17)
Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data — the "right to be forgotten".
Right to Restriction (Art. 18)
Ask us to pause processing your data while a dispute is resolved.
Right to Portability (Art. 20)
Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Object (Art. 21)
Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
2. Delete Your Account
You have the right to delete your Mission Carbon account and all associated personal data at any time under GDPR Art. 17 (Right to Erasure).
Delete in the app
Go to the Profile tab and tap Delete Account. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Immediate removal
To have all data associated with your account removed immediately, send us a deletion request by email using the form below.
Open the app and go to the Profile tab
Open Mission Carbon and tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
Find and tap "Delete Account"
Scroll down in your profile to find the Delete Account option and tap it.
Confirm deletion
You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your account is scheduled for deletion. Your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Request immediate deletion by email
If you want all data associated with your account removed immediately, or if you cannot access the app, email privacy@missioncarbon.app with the subject line Account Deletion Request and include the email address linked to your account.
Send deletion request by email3. What Gets Deleted
When your account deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted:
Deleted immediately
- Your account (name, email address, password/authentication credentials)
- Onboarding responses (sustainability habits, lifestyle answers)
- Learning progress (completed lessons, quiz results, answers)
- Gamification data (Leaves balance, streak history, earned badges)
- AI Assistant chat history linked to your account
- Account preferences and settings
Data that may be retained
A small amount of data may be retained after deletion where required by law or legitimate interests:
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you
- Transaction or billing records required by applicable financial law
- Security logs retained for fraud prevention for a limited period
- Information required to comply with a legal obligation or court order
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Any Leaves, streaks, badges, or progress will not be recoverable after deletion.
4. Download Your Data
Under GDPR Art. 20, you have the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format before or instead of deleting your account.
To request a data export, email privacy@missioncarbon.app with the subject line Data Export Request and include the email address linked to your account. We will provide your data within 30 days.
5. Other Rights
Access your data (Art. 15)
Email privacy@missioncarbon.app with subject Data Access Request to receive a description of what personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
Correct your data (Art. 16)
To correct inaccurate or incomplete data, email privacy@missioncarbon.app with subject Data Correction Request.
Restrict or object to processing (Art. 18 & 21)
To request a restriction on processing or to object to a specific use of your data, email privacy@missioncarbon.app describing what processing you wish to restrict or object to.
6. Response Timeline
Mission Carbon will respond to all privacy rights requests within the timeframes required by GDPR:
- Initial acknowledgement: within 72 hours of receiving your request.
- Full response or action: within 30 days (GDPR Art. 12(3)).
- Complex or high-volume requests: may be extended by up to a further 2 months. We will notify you if an extension applies.
All requests are free of charge unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
7. Lodge a Complaint
If you believe Mission Carbon has not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
